Visiting Clinical Fellowship
Scholars in this customized program participate in a variety of activities based on their personal educational objectives. We work with each scholar to identify their personal training objectives ranging from enhancing clinical skills and knowledge to enhancing scientific communication skills to developing skills and knowledge to answer pressing research questions relevant to their clinical practice. Scholars in this program are matched with faculty mentors who are uniquely qualified to provide the training. Scholars work in UC San Diego clinical settings and may attend carefully selected educational activities. Detailed training logs are maintained to document progress.

HSI strongly encourages prospective scholars to obtain their COVID-19 vaccination(s) in their home country, where they are licensed physicians and can likely secure their vaccinations in a timelier manner. Obtaining the vaccination ahead of any international travel is ideal, to ensure health and safety before arriving in San Diego.
